Check it out, my man in Dubai L2R AKA RM Jay cooked up a stream at YouTube for our song “Tin Tin Da Da”
Here’s a little back story about the song:
A couple of months ago, the Indonesian pop music scene was entered by some simplistic songs, that had only one or two lines repeated throughout the whole song. It was obviously to create something catchy and capitalise on the RBT market. So we at HansRock asked ourselves, “what if we do, like, a stupid track? Seriously?” so I came up with a concept to have a rap song with minimal lyrics, the refrain going “tin tin tin…. da da da…” and call it frickin’ “Tin Tin Da Da”.
“Let’s take a potshot at a celebrity here…” I said, and came up with simple lines that make the bridge:
Oh! Oh! Oooh!
Si cantik siapa yang di sana? (who’s that pretty girl?)
Goyangannya kayak Dewi Persik oh ya! (She dances like Dewi Persik)
Keringet ngucur body kemana-mana! (She’s sweating, and she’s showing off her body)
So we recorded the song in September ‘09 at HansRock Colombo, and our guys worked their magic and came up with this bangin’ track!
